First in Playbook: M3 Strategies poll on the 2027 Chicago mayoral race

Politico’s Illinois Playbook was first to report an M3 Strategies poll on a hypothetical 2027 Chicago mayoral race. The survey tested 11 potential candidates and asked voters about their top priority issues.

The poll surveyed 696 likely Chicago voters on February 20 and 21, with a margin of error of plus or minus 3.71 percentage points. It found Mayor Brandon Johnson at 8.2% support with a 79.9% unfavorable rating.
